Furniture Storage

If your new home is not ready or your plans are undecided you may choose for your household goods to spend some time in storage. If so, everything will be loaded directly into specially designed, numbered storage containers and travel straight to our purpose-built warehouses.

Central Moves has some of the finest furniture storage facilities anywhere in the country. All our warehouses use the containerised storage system to minimise handling and keep your goods clean, dry and secure.

On arrival at the warehouse, the containers are handled mechanically into their location. Once in position, they are not touched again until the items are required for delivery.

Central Moves warehouses also have facilities to handle special items that are inappropriate for containerised storage. Carpets, ladders, motorcycles, cars and caravans all receive individual attention and care.

Storage / retrieval service

Central Moves indexing team will organize your records, create indexes and prepare files for storage. This allows for quick and efficient document tracking and retrieval. We will then provide you with a full inventory of your documents via our unique Computer System (SIMS) including:

• When received
• Type of Documents
• Their age
• Their age
• Document No (Invoice No, employee no, project no etc)
• Retention period / Expiry Date
• Location of items for rapid recall

Security and protection of your important items and documents is guaranteed. Access protection using passwords or name authorization can be requested.

Automatic disposal upon expiry

Analysing how long records should be kept and disposing of them appropriately can save you storage costs and free you from the worry of how long to preserve historic data. Central Moves takes away this worry by analysing your disposal requirements. This can be done automatically, or, alternatively, we will refer back to you prior to disposal

Confidential Destruction service

Once your confidential information has reached the end of its useful life cycle or legally required period of retention, Central Moves provides a complete, confidential destruction of these records. This can be done automatically by us or we can refer back to you prior to destruction. If you require, we will provide a Certificate of Destruction for the documentation destroyed as your official record.
